I think 30-36 months is completely doable and good spacing. (My brother and I are 4.5 yrs apart and we get along just fine too!) I thought it would take longer
to conceive #2 for me and didn't anticipate them being so close in age (18 months) Now, I love they are this close, they love each other so much and
sometimes it's like they are twins because they can play so well together (when they do) But it was so hard the first year, plus we moved during that time.
I am just finally getting organized I think, we've been here almost 2 years.
When I was anticipating TTC#2 I did go thru what you are saying, I really did... I worried about it a lot actually. My good friend Rhonda
said some
things to me that made me put it all behind me, and I never second guessed it again. Hopefully she will chime in and give you a nice talk too
That being said, now I worry about TTC#3 because the spacing will be different, I'll have a middle child, etc
Haha! I don't think it ever really
stops, this 'mommy thinks & worries too much' stuff

I think you may find that there will be more sibling rivalry between the ones space 18 months apart. My mother made the big mistake of dressing us and treating us more like twins. I hated the having to constantly wear they same clothes as my younger sister and I swore if ever I had actual twins I would never do that. It's so important to treat each child as an individual and not as a package.
It's too easy to treat them as a package as twins or those born so close to each other.
If I wanted to go out with my friends I was forced to drag my sister along. It was horrendous never being allowed to just be me as an individual.
To this day because of it I still feel responsible for my younger sister if she gets herself in problems. I get on far better as an adult with the eldest sister funnily enough.
