My DD has some transition issues and abnormal tantrums that make me suspect something... she has been reviewed by Child Find and they said she is fine. 
So we are going to a psychiatrist in July. She meets many of the 'diagnostic criteria' for Aspergers' DSM diagnosis, so we are just trying to figure it
all out.
As far as being in denial, my mom was my only confidant in the last year about my suspicions that *something* was not right. I haven't discussed it too much with my dh because he does not always get to see the scope of these things (for instance her tantrums are something he might have to deal with twice a week, and I deal with them twice a day) To him, she is just challenging and temperamental
But he hasn't objected to getting her tested.
